WHAT A WAY TO KICK OFF OUR FESTIVAL SEASON! Not only did we have the BEST TIME AT THE 1st ANNUAL WILLAPA BAY MUSIC FESTIVAL but we got to ROCK THE STAGE with some of the Pacific Northwests' Best & found our SPIRIT HOME! To start off with, WILLAPALOOZA WAS AMAZING, the line-up was STACKED & PACKED there was WILD BILL(we'll get back to them) and Local Boys HELSTING & KINGS OF OLD kicking off the day with some High Energy Head Banging Sets, then due to some crazy traffic on this beautiful Washington peninsula OUR FEARLESS LEADER and PRODUCER of the show MR. WARREN COWELL made some quick calls and after a short ACOUSTIC SET BY OMAR (from WILD BILL) the touring bands made it through & direct from Chicago LEVER hit the stage although they were from the east they sounded like they were bred in the North West. Next up SUNDRIES (Seattle-featuring 2 member from Thunderpussy) this outfit was TIGHT and had that KICK ASS NW SOUND with INSTANT HITS and for sure a band we will be booking shows with. Followed by PUNK ROCK LEGENDS P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S. (Portland) who just destroyed the stage with an in your face non stop power set that injected everyone with a hit of adrenaline, followed by WILD BILL (Portland) and another POWER SET by a shirtless GIANT and his 2 cohorts that had the place ROCKIN, we were stuck in traffic for their opening set but were thankful to catch them as they helped get the BILL back on schedule.

THEN IT WAS OUR TURN, and after what we had just witnessed we were ready to BLOW THE ROOF OFF THE CLAM SHACK. As you know when STOLEN ROSE hits it WE HIT IT HARD & this time it was no different WE TOOK NO PRISONERS WITH OUR DYNAMIC SET OF ROCK FOR YOUR SOUL and introduced THE ROSE TO THE BAY and left the stage HOT FOR THUNDERPUSSY (Seattle) who came out swingin and put on a SHOW YOU GOTTA CATCH! With a killer stage show and a fierce sound, to describe it as AWESOME just in't enough. IT'S HARD to describe what we experienced next but MASZER (Seattle) came out with haunting vocals and an almost etherial sound THAT BLEW EVERYONES MINDS with what can be described as 3 insane people creating sounds that will GRAB YOU and a stage show that at one point moved off the stage and right up front with the crowd. LAST BUT MOST CERTAINLY NOT LEAST WAS NINJAS WITH SYRINGES (Portland) who closed the night out with so much ENERGY the HOOVER DAMN was jealous and another band you can look forward to seeing on a bill with us. It was A GREAT DAY and we felt nothing but love from all the AWESOME BANDS AND FANS OF MUSIC who MADE IT A SUCCESSFUL EVENT!
Probably the most important thing that happened was meeting and becoming a part of THE CLAM SHACK FAMILY and that was most apparent by the hospitality of Warren & Tamara who welcomed us onto their property where all the bands stayed and had an OLD FASHIONED AFTER PARTY! Now while most of the bands had to leave the next morning to continue down that ROCK N ROLL ROAD
NOW ONTO THE NEXT EPISODE we will be back rockin the CIDER MILL on JULY 17th for a full night of STOLEN ROSE followed by VILLAGE PALOOZA - A MULTNOMAH DAYS NIGHT OF ROCK PRESENTED BY RENNERS GRILL AND THE SHIP TAVERN starting at 6pm on AUG 15th with special guest local musicians and headlined by DISASTEROID & STOLEN ROSE who will be your GRAND FINALE at 10 pm so make plans to hang out all day and night. Now there are a couple more FESTIVALS that we are at this time awaiting confirmation but keep THIS Sat JULY 11th IN YOUR SITES as we may be filling in at the last minute for Bearwater as their drummer has been injured and will be healing for a few weeks at least, we wish him a speedy recovery and we are also talking with one of the HEMPFESTS' but as of yet these dates are unconfirmed.
